Almost 80% of Ghana's butterfly Species are confined to the Upper Guinea Rainforest habitat found here with many endemic species recorded. Our butterfly tours are run in collaboration with BCGHANA (butterfly conservation society of Ghana) with 25% of the profits from our tours being donated to continue their exceptional work in conservation.
We are also in the early stages of further collaborations with BCGHANA with one of the main objectives being establishing long term sustainable eco tourism projects protecting habitat and benefiting locals by bringing regular income into their economies.

Our full time leaders and guides have been studying and researching Ghana’s biologically rich rainforests and savannah habitats ensuring we maximise the possible species seen during our tours. We visit Bobiri butterfly sanctuary at only 4.5 square kilometers and protecting over 500 species a paradise for any nature lover. In addition to the Atewa range protecting over 650 species that include African giant swallowtail (Africa’s largest butterfly) mocker swallowtail, citrus swallowtail, clouded-mother-of-pearl, Atewa ciliate blue, forest-mother-of-pearl, Atewa dotted border (which is endemic to Atewa) all of which ensures an exceptional West African butterfly experience.
