Ghana’s cultural diversity is unsurpassed in Western Africa, its current ethnographic composition are results of consistent migration from northern and eastern parts of Africa. This migration between the 15th and 19th centuries was mainly due to the abundance of gold found in the region.
Our cultural and wildlife tours take you on amazing journeys through the history of this wonderful country, immersing you in the rich cultural traditions and daily life of the many tribal communities we come into contact with. During our journeys we visit ancient monuments in all regions of the country, passing through areas seldom visited by tourists. We take every opportunity to mix and interact with the locals, enhancing our guest’s experiences and enabling them to feel the real Ghana.
A wide selection of our cultural tours take us to Mole National Park, Ghana’s premier wildlife viewing destination, where we take the time to enjoy some of Ghana’s amazingly diverse wildlife. We embark on foot and river safaris in search of African elephant, hippopotamus, kob, bushbuck, waterbuck and some of the many primate species found here.
As we travel along Ghana’s gold coast we take a thought provoking journey through Ghana’s recent and tragic enslaved African trade era. We visit wonderfully preserved forts and castles recognised as UNESCO world heritage sites. Whilst in the more remote areas we witness traditional drumming, dance, kente weaving, brass casting, wood carving and bead making.
We are sure a cultural visit to experience the colourful and warm hospitality of the varied ethnic groups within Ghana and immersing yourself in their diverse culture and traditions, is an experience that will live with you forever. |
